Beating a Child on the Street: Priceless
Despite everything I’ve ever said, as a rule, I don’t actually want to physically hurt children. But when I saw an 8-year-old girl on 9th Avenue today wearing a shirt that said “Exellence Comes at a Price” I wanted to beat her face so badly that her parents would wish they’d never met in college, never fallen in love, never broken up after two years because of a rumored cheating incident with another paralegal at a new job, never gotten back together when they realized they couldn’t live without each other, and never had her in the hopes of once again reviving the fizzling flame. What does an 8-year-old know about excellence, much less the economics of excellence?
And the font was fucking ugly.

What does that shirt even mean…was it like a promotional thing, some corporate slogan?

One can only imagine the cultish ambigious-but-meant-to-feel-good slogans she will be wearing as an adult.

What really pisses me off is that she’s clearly supporting the “creative spelling” movement by wearing that t-shirt. “Exellence”? Fuck that shit. Spell it right or don’t spell it all, bitch.
